Fantasy Football and Manchester United fans have finally received confirmation that the Red Devils have completed the signing of Japan midfielder Shinji Kagawa from Borussia Dortmund on a four-year deal.
New signings sometimes need time to adjust to the Premier League but Sir Alex Ferguson expects Shinji Kagawa to make an immediate impact if his comments are anything to go by.
Sir Alex Ferguson’s Comments:
“Shinji is an exciting young midfielder with great skill, vision and a good eye for goal,”
“I believe he will make an impact upon the team very quickly as he is suited to United’s style of play.
“We are all looking forward to working with him.”
Shinji Kagawa’s Comments:
“This is a challenge I am really looking forward to,”
“The Premier League is the best league in the world and Manchester United is such a massive club.
“This is a really exciting time for me. I can’t wait to meet the team and start playing.”
Tough Fantasy Premier League Competition
At present he looks likely to enter the Fantasy Premier League game at around £8.5 million as a midfielder and will make it very difficult for fantasy premier league managers to choose between the riches of the Old Trafford midfield with the likes of Nani, Young and Valencia all viable alternatives.
In general Manchester United fans will welcome the addition of this highly skilled midfielder as Fletcher is still out, Anderson has been unlucky with injuries over the last few years and Giggs & Scholes must be coming close to the end of their career.
Fantasy Premier League Stats
The 23-year-old helped Dortmund land successive German titles and scored 17 times in addition to claiming 13 assists as they also went on to complete the double last season.
