The early kickoff on Saturday afternoon saw Tottenham Hotspur beat Newcastle United 2-1 at White Hart Lane. The undoubted star of the show was Gareth Bale as he scored a brace on an afternoon that he should have scored three or four goals.

The Welsh winger continued his role through the middle for Tottenham Hotspur and flourished as he made chance after chance. Only a strong performance from Newcastle goalkeeper Tim Krul prevented the midfielder from walking away with the match ball.

Former Fulham and West Ham players Clint Dempsey and Scott Parker provided the assists for Gareth Bales goals. A man of the match performance from the Welshman will see him walk away with 15 fantasy Premier league points this evening.

It was a mixed afternoon from Newcastle United as they suffered defeat against Tottenham with New players Sissoko and Goufran delivering for fantasy premier league managers.

For the third Premier league game in a row Sissoko delivered getting an assist for setting up Goufran to score for Newcastle. The bad news for Newcastle was Goufran went off midway through the second half with a nasty leg injury.
