Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 38 Tips: It’s all or nothing!

by Phil McGrath on May 11, 2012

Well this is it, it has come down to the final gameweek of the season and the nervous excitement is palpable through out the office as we gear up for the final showdown.

With the title race finely balanced and the relegation race on a knife edge there is still plenty to play for as the last day of the season swings into action on Sunday.

Of course for many fantasy premier league managers there is still plenty on the line with one gameweek left and many will be hoping that a few inspired transfers will have the desired effect and place them top of the pile come 5pm on Sunday evening.

So without a trace of strain on our faces (I wish)  we pondered this weeks tips over and over and the debate we a tensely contested one as we pitched our thoughts and reasoning for those we believe will make the difference this week and finally we came up with what I have to say was one of the most difficult selections we have ever made here at FantasyPremierLeagueTransfers.com.

But here it is, our divine inspiration for your consideration ahead of the gameweek deadline.

Ali Al Habsi (Wigan) £4.5 Million Fixture: Wolves (Home)

Forwards

Sergio Aguero (Man City) £11.2 Million Fixture: QPR (Home)

Wayne Rooney (Man United) £12.9 Million Fixture: Sunderland (Away)

Pappis Cisse (Newcastle) £8.2 Million Fixture: Everton (Away)

This week, given the gamweek that’s in it we have also decided to give you some differential options that could help you across the line this gameweek should you need it.

Differentials

Fernando Torres (Chelsea) £9.9 Million Fixture: Blackburn (Home)

Grant Holt (Norwich) £5.1 Million Fixture: Aston Villa (Home)

Steven Pienaar (Everton) £7.3 Million Fixture: Newcastle (Home)

Gylfi Sigurdsson (Swansea) £5.6 Million Fixture: Liverpool (Home)

OR!!!! I can get Adebayor > Torres , Young > Dempsey , VDV > Valencia but lose 4 points! a huge risk i would say!

it'll be Petrov – Young – VDV – BenArfa

Tevez – Adebayor – Cisse

Ashley Young or VDV?? I'm looking for differentials here! I think Tottenham will pull a very good performance to seal their champions league qualification spot! I'm going all firepower against my opponent with differentials (Tevez; decisive match, Adebayor to seal CL spot with Spurs) My third striker can either be Torres (Differential) or Cisse whose on my opponent's team.

Ya just remember these are tips so 4 points may be in vain…Ade could bag a couple(last chance to impress!) same for Dempsey. Go Cisse cause ur mate has him! thats what id do anyway, especially if your ahead.

Good Luck

RVP should deffo be in for Arsenals 3rd spot challenge, as they will attack for most of the game.

Why no RVP?

Was going to captain him. Bad idea?

Thanks Phil,

It's a tough week this week with quite a few teams with everything to play for, then there's Chelsea…

I note you've only recommended one City player. I'm going two this week with Clichy in as well as Aguero, given he's had three assists in his last four games (as has Hibbert I think).

Great work on the site and good luck in your mini league!
