Fantasy Premier League: Gameweek 25 Tips

by Phil McGrath on February 10, 2015

There isn’t much time to hang around with gameweek 25 coming only two days after the close of the previous gameweek and for fantasy manager there looks to be a number of key decisions to be made ahead of the deadline on Tuesday evening.

One such decision is what exactly to do with Sergio Aguero. The Manchester City striker has now failed to score in any of the five games since his return from injury and while last weekend’s game against Hull looked taylor made for the Argentine to get back among the goal, he once again let us down. So the big question is, do we have the faith to hold onto him for the mid-week game away to Stoke?

Another problem is the injury to Charlie Austin, the R’s leading goal scorer has been ruled out for the game with Sunderland, leaving over 20% of fantasy managers looking for a replacement. It remains to be seen if Cesc Fabregas will be fit in time to face Everton, the Spaniard had been passed fit to face Villa, but failed to make the trip to Villa Park, sparking concerns that his injury is worst than expected. There is some good news with Alexis Sanchez reportedly fit enough to face Leicester, however it remains to be seen if Wenger will risk him.

Southampton face a nervous wait over the fitness of Matt Targett, the youngster was drafted in to replace the suspended Ryan Bertrand last time out, but only lasted 25 minuted before being taken off with a head injury. However Ronald Koeman seems upbeat about his prospects of making the clash with West Ham on Wednesday.

So with all that going on and a whole lot more it is time for us to nail down some players with the potential for points ahead of the mid-week fixtures.
